Greetings… and welcome!
Thanks for visiting my page! I’m so happy you’re here. :)
I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy a decade ago, with the common —albeit trite— goal of wanting to make a difference for people who are struggling to understand their bodies, heal their pain, and meet their goals. In my ten years of working as a physical therapist, I’ve spent time in a number of settings working with kids, adolescents, adults and older adults with different concerns or issues. My passions are pelvic health issues and scoliosis, but I also have experience in a number of other areas both personally and professionally.
In all of the places I’ve treated patients, one thing seems to be universal: it can be really hard to find useful and relevant health information. It’s almost gotten harder in this age of internet accessibility because there’s a ton of things out there, and it’s overwhelming! And how do you know what to believe when there are conflicting opinions at every turn? My purpose for starting this blog is to build a platform with some educational health and wellness content for people to access other than WebMD and social media forums. I’ve definitely been guilty of going down the Google rabbit hole and convincing myself I have cancer or some other grave and terminal illness…
I would love it if you would engage with me, follow my blog and let me know your questions so I give you resources to find the help you need to help you along your journey. I’ll be posting links to reputable institutions and the places I trust to give me scientifically sound and enlightening information.
A little disclaimer before we go on:
All of the information I share is current at the time it is posted, but medical knowledge and evidence is constantly evolving as new research becomes available. The opinions and experiences posted are my own and should not be considered medical advice.
